Baby carrier for your child in clothing size 98-104

Does it still make sense to buy a baby carrier for my child in size 98 or 104? We get that question very regularly. Our answer? It depends! How often do you still carry? If you do not have a baby carrier, of course, not very often, but how often are there situations when a toddler or preschooler would still really like to rest for a while on their dad's or mum's back? Consider this when deciding whether you want to buy a baby carrier for your child now.

A day at a theme park, a walk in the woods, a city trip, travelling by public transport.... all situations in which a baby carrier is much easier than a buggy. And carrying does not, of course, always have to be purely practical. Many children simply still need a little rest or the security and familiarity of being close to their dad or mum. And why would you not give your child that? Before you know it, they will be truly grown up and you will no longer carry them. Carrying a bigger child may seem heavy, but ergonomic carriers distribute your child's weight evenly across your shoulders, back and hips. And if you have been carrying your child since they were little, your muscles will naturally already be somewhat accustomed to it.

We make the following distinction between baby carriers

Carriers that are fully equipped with buckles (full-buckle) and require a baby insert.
Carriers that are fully equipped with buckles (full-buckle) and can be used without a baby insert.
Carriers with a buckle on the waistband and shoulder straps that are tied (half-buckle).
Carriers with both a tie waistband and tie shoulder straps (Meh Dai).

Full-buckle, half-buckle or Meh Dai

Will you choose a full-buckle, a half-buckle or a Meh Dai? The choice you make here is very personal. Do you want something ready to go? Then choose a full-buckle! Do you use the baby carrier together with your partner, who has a very different build from you? Then you can imagine that with a full-buckle carrier, you have to adjust the straps properly again each time your partner has used the carrier. This is not difficult at all, but it may be a reason not to choose a full-buckle. Do you not like all those straps hanging from a full-buckle carrier? Or does a carrier with buckles not seem comfortable to you? In that case, you could look at a Meh Dai or possibly a half-buckle.
