Carrying with or without a baby insert
From clothing size 56-62, you have quite a wide choice of baby carriers. An important consideration you can make for yourself is whether you want to carry your baby in a baby carrier that requires a baby insert, or whether you would prefer one without. A baby carrier with a baby insert means that the carrier itself is actually still too large, but the baby insert makes the carrier smaller. This can be useful, for example, when you have 2 children whom you carry and only want to purchase one baby carrier. This way, you can carry both a small and a larger child (alternately) in the baby carrier.
Full-buckle, half-buckle or mei tai
You can also consider whether you want to choose a full-buckle, a half-buckle or a mei tai. The choice you make here is very personal. Do you want something ready to click into place? Then choose a full-buckle! Do you use the baby carrier together with your partner, who has a very different build from you? Then you can imagine that with a full-buckle baby carrier, you have to adjust the straps to the right settings again each time your partner has used the baby carrier. This is not difficult at all, but it may be a reason not to choose a full-buckle. Don't you like all those straps hanging from a full-buckle baby carrier? Or do you think a buckled baby carrier would not feel comfortable? In that case, you can also consider a mei tai or possibly a half-buckle.
