How easy is a baby wrap?
A baby wrap often looks more complicated than it actually is. But let’s be honest: you do need to learn it. The main question is how much practice time you’re willing to give yourself.
You can tie a stretchy wrap in advance and then place your baby in it. For many parents, this makes it a comfortable first step, especially during the newborn stage.
A woven wrap is stronger and more versatile, but requires more precise tightening. If you enjoy learning to tie, it’s a wonderful option. If you mainly want something quick and simple, a baby carrier might suit you better.
A ring sling is compact and quick for short trips. You need to get the hang of tightening it through the rings, but after that it’s a very practical carrier.
Not sure whether tying is right for you? Then also take a look at half-buckle baby carriers: they feel like a wrap, but already have some structure.
